Terms & Conditions


All reasonable care will be taken when handling your laundry. It is the customer’s responsibility to empty pockets and sort the laundry into suitable wash loads, making sure the items are colour and temperature compatible for washing and suitable for tumble drying.

The Clean Bean does not accept responsibility for any items that shrink (if items are requested to be tumble dried) and we cannot guarantee that all stains will come out whilst being laundered.


We use our own soap powders and fabric softeners. If by any means you wish to supply us with your own detergents then please make sure you put these items into the laundry bag.

Laundry and Ironing

You must ensure that any items to be handled by our staff are in a safe condition which will not cause any harm to the person handling the items (e.g., free from sharp objects in pockets or anything that can easily become harmful to the persons handling these items.)

Loose  Items

The Clean Bean Laundromat and Argyle Dry Cleaning are not responsible for loose items such as cash, belts, detachable buttons, jewellery, watches, broaches, cufflinks, hoods or any loose items on garments.  We ask that customers remove these items and empty pockets prior to leaving items with us.  The Clean Bean cannot be responsible for damage to your garments from items left in pockets such as gum, pens, lipstick, etc.

Collection & Delivery Service

The Clean Bean is not responsible for your items before we pick them up and after we drop them off.  It is your responsibility to ensure the safety of your items during these times. If our delivery and collection times are in whatever way unsuitable for you then please make sure you call us and let us know in good time so we can adjust our delivery times to meet your needs and to avoid us from having to make an unnecessary journey and you having to pay an extra charge.

Lost  Items

Any lost items must be reported within 5 days of receiving your order. The Clean Bean Laundromat & Café will make every reasonable effort to track every item.  All lost item claims will be reviewed on a case by case basis.  Any items determined to be lost by The Clean Bean will be reimbursed in accordance with the International Fabricare Fair Claims Guide and shall not exceed ten (10) times our charge for cleaning that garment regardless of brand or condition.


For best results and to help reduce wrinkling, fold items as soon as they have dried and put them into a clean bag or basket ideally away from strong smells, smoke and pets. This keeps them in a better condition to get the best results once they are ironed.

Any items which are found to be unsuitable for ironing will be returned un-ironed with an explanatory note attached.

All items will be ironed and either put on hangers with a protective covering to keep them clean         (shirts, blouses, trousers and dresses) or neatly folded and placed in a suitable bag (e.g. T-shirts, jeans, sweatshirts) unless otherwise requested.


The Clean Bean’s prices are very competitive and provide excellent value for money as well as a convenient and efficient service to our customers. However they are subject to review from time to time and we reserve the right to alter our pricing accordingly.


Payment is by cash/credit and/or debit card on delivery (or collection in person) of your ironing/laundry upon agreement of using our services. We do not have the facilities to extend credit to non-commercial customers.


Orders that have not been paid for within 30 days of the pick-up date will be considered abandoned and all property will be donated to charity.
